can anyone point in the right direction to finding a wed cert of a couple that got married in Jaffa between 1944/47 he was in the Palestine police and she was Polish only I have come to a blank wall on this one. I have his full name but only her first name

For further details you'd need to order the MC from GRO in the normal way. Although British MCs don't give a persons place of birth, she might have named her father, if known.

As you've already mentioned that she was Polish, might it be possible that various JewishGen sites be relevant? Holocaust, displaced people, Israel and all that?

Sorry Frances nothing else can be seen ,but as it was a Consular listed maririage it may be more detailed than the standard one.

you will need to quote the vol and page numbers plus of course place and names.
