Trying to trace mothers military history,

As far as I know, my mother was a nurse in Queen Alexandra's Royal Army Nursing Core. Times I dont know but sometime in late 40's early 50's. her name was Marjorie Martha Wallace Dempster and I think she resided in Armadale in West Lothian Scotland. Any info would be gratefully appreciated as she just died 25/09/2016

Army Nursing Service became Queen Alexandra's Imperial Military Nursing Service (QAIMNS) in 1902; renamed the Queen Alexandra's Royal Army Nursing Corps (QARANC) in 1949.

Thank you for reminding me to reply to your post. I have followed up on your info and hopefully will find some information soon. Must apologise for not replying sooner but I dont sit glued to my computer and only go on this site once a week
