PricklyHolly Report 8 Jan 2014 08:27

I spent about 20 minutes yesterday trying to thread a sewing needle. I was determined not to give up..........It got the better of me and i had to find a needle with a bigger hole!! :-|

A bit disappointing really, the countries clue was irrelevant and Mike's answers fitted well except for the family uses we couldn't know about.

A tip for threading needles IF the thread wont go through t'hole
either get some 5amp fuse wire(us oldies will know what that is......) or strip a piece of old electrical flex, and use one of the strands bent double, and push it through t'ole put thread in the loop of flexwire and pull the thread back through the needle hole............OR you could buy one of the needle threading aids which is a loop of springy wire in a tin plate holder............
