According to the 1891 Census - Lottie had two older siblings also:

Sarah E (born abt 1883) and Alice N (born abt 1885)

:)

(still no luck with Lottie's death yet, I'm afraid)

Hi Mary,

forgive me if you already have this info - but thought I'd post it anyway....

Found her marriage in Glasgow on March 5th 1918 at 19, Howard Street, Glasgow. By declaration in the prescence of Robert Wilson, Hairdresser, and Elsie Mabel Poole, Music Hall Artiste.

Grooms Details:

Frank Harvey, Amusement Caterer (Bachelor) aged 46.
Residence: 45 Buccleuch Street Glasgow.

Parents: George Harvey, Fruit Salesman (deceased) and Margaret Ann Harvey - Maiden name - Transfield (deceased)

Brides Details:

Lottie M Holliday, Amusement Caterer (Spinster) aged 25
Residence: 45 Buccleuch Street, Glasgow.

Parents: James Holliday, Railway Signalman (deceased) and Charlotte Holliday - Maiden surname: Swann
------------------

A likely marriage for Lotties Parents (if in England) is: Sep qrtr of 1882 in Burton (on Trent) ref 6b/461

I find them on the 1901 Census (and ten years on in 1911 but minus John) in the village of Ambergate in Heage, Derby. Lottie is with her parents and three siblings John F (14) Gertude Annie (6) and Ida Lillian (2)

there is a death for a "Charlotte M HARVEY" (Maybe she was named Charlotte but went by Lottie?) as follows:

Charlotte M Harvey
Oct, Nov Dec 1957
aged 64
Estimated birth 1893
District of Thanet
Ref: 5b/988

If her husband had left/died around 1926 - she would only have been 33. Is it possible she married again?

If so - there is a marriage for a Charlotte Harvey in the district of Basford in March quarter of 1928 to a "WALDOCK"

Hope this has been of some help :)

Just one point that you may not be aware of

The records on freebmd are given as QUARTERS of the year

plus the information on a death certificate may not be accurate about many things.

The only information on a death certificate that you can rely on are:-

date of death
place of death
cause of death
name of person reporting death
name of doctor

Everything else is based on hearsay ..... ie, what the dead person told the family or the nurses or whoever reported the death.

Thus, the name may be wrong; the date of birth may be wrong; age may be wrong; name of husband may be wrong, especially if the spouse was dead or the marriage had broken up long ago.

All of us have to search the records on line.

Now, there are two possibiliies:-

a) the record of your grandmother's death has not yet been transcribed from the records onto freebmd

b) the record is missing because the information was not sent from the local registry office down to London to GRO

Of course, your grandmother may have married again!
