Could someone help me with a birth recording please.

HENRY or HARRY CECIL SADDINGTON BORN 27 NOVEMBER 1914
IN LONDON ONTARIO CANADA.

His father is John Herbert Saddington but not too sure who his mother is. It could be Isabella Hutchinson although I have ny doubts as cannot find her with her husband after he left England.
He has another son who was born in Liverpool England Dec 1911. Charles H Saddington.
Any help would be appreciated thank you. Cindi

I dont think you'll find a birth record as Canada has stricter privacy laws than the UK

Thank you Ginny I do really appreciate your kind attention. I had been struggling with the second child of John H Saddington despite having quite an extensive tree on Ancestry. Yes it is me. I had no idea that Canada did not allow access to births. I have since found other information on Harry or Henry (not too sure what he was christened) and I have also found the passage of the family from England in 1913 so guess Isabella is his mother. (There is a family story that does not tie in with all the information I have found- ) so really wondering why he was called the "black sheep of the family".

It looks like 1914 will be released sometime next year.

The Archives of Ontario has the Indexes (where they exist) and Registration Books from the Office of the Registrar General of Ontario for:

* Births: 1869-1912
* Marriages: 1801-1927
* Deaths: 1869-1937

All of these records are publicly available on microfilm. Another year of records is sent annually to the Archives. These are restricted until they have been made available on microfilm. The latest transfers (1913 births, 1928 marriages, and 1938 deaths) are being filmed and will be available on microfilm sometime in 2010.


The Ontario Vital Statistics microfilm is publicly available:

* In our Reading Room at: 134 Ian Macdonald Blvd., Toronto, Ontario, Canada.
* By Interloan from the Archives of Ontario to your public library (limit of 3 reels per researcher will be sent).
* On loan through the Family History Centres of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (LDS).
