I used www.scotlandspeople.gov.uk and for my six pounds, I found my grandfather on the 1891 and 1901 census. I had no idea he would be where I found him on the 1901 census. Also found the death certs of two of gggrandfathers. This gave me the names of their parents...another generation....I'm happy!
