I have been able to fill in a few gaps in my family tree, thanks to your "searching for" and the people who sent in information. My grt. grt .grt grandfather James Wright went suddenly went missing from census reports, and his family went into the workhouse in Dunmow Essex. It turned out htat James was convicted of burglary and was sentenced to 14 yrs and transportation to Australia in 1841.
His son Joseph was later convicted of theft and was sentenced to 7 yrs and transportation to Australia in 1852. It has been interesting looking up the Tasmanian records and finding out about them. The only thing I have to do now is identify which Joseph belongs to my family, as there were 2 Joseph Wright's on the convict ship Equestrian on the 27/8/1852.
Thank's for all your help.
