Anthony Blake's success story

My name is Anthony John Blake, in April this year (2003) my Mother visited us in Australia from England. It was then that I asked her for my Father's full name and date of birth. I had only ever know of him as 'Harry', I was surprised when she told me his real name was Henry. I had always wanted to know my Father, but for reasons best left to herself, my Mother (now 80) would never pass on any information. After her visit was over, I logged onto Genesconnected and to my dismay found 17 Henry Edward Blake's! Only one was born in 1923 so I clicked onto it. You will never know or understand my incredulity at finding a letter attached from a Pam Bond, she had written that she had been searching for myself and my sister for 20 years and was on the verge of giving up! She, and her brother Paul grew up knowing they had a half brother and sister, and we never knew they existed! On a recent visit to England I met up with Pam and Paul, (my new found sister and brother and their families). It was an extremely emotional and momentous occasion. They were able to answer all the questions that I had wondered about all my life. They made my sister Val and her husband Joe, myself and my wife Wendy so welcome. We spent a wonderful day together pouring over photo's and exchanging stories... This is only the beginning!
