Last year, having been on genesreunited for only a short time,I was contacted by a distant relative from the south coast. She was able to give me information on my fathers family with whom I had lost touch. The last contact was over 30 years ago at his funeral. More importantly she was in touch with one of my cousins living close to me in Yorkshire. From this contact I was given the benefit of the search which she had done and was able to build up my tree. This contact led to a phone from another cousin who I hadnt seen in over fifty years, inviting me and my brother to a suprise 70th birthday party for yet another cousin.
Last weekend we attended a wonderful reunion with seven of our 10 cousins and had a great time exchanging photographs. Two uncles are still alive which we hope to see.
Thanks to GRU for enabling this to happen
