After a short time of joining Genes, I was in contact with a member of my gt. g/mothers family on my Dad's side of the family, from her second marriage. He is way down on the list, but a relative non the less.

Once again, another family member popped up on my Mothers side of the family, a family we knew absolutely nothing about.

Plus having known nothing of our Mothers family, her Mum died when she was 5, we didn't even know her surname !! But boy do we now, we have found a lot about them and contacts with new relatives too.

I have found our family connections to Two Famous Footballers, sadly one has passed away, and both have played for England!!

We also now have in our possession medals of our Grandfathers from ww1.

Now, I cannot believe this, more family members on Dad's side, from his Mum. Some now living in Australia.

This site is amazing, and thank you to everyone that has been helping me with birth and marriage records this past couple of weeks.

I am certainly addicted to this site.
Linda.
