New family & 70 year old mystery solved!

Always a close family, there was lurking in the shadows a missing male relative who basically disappeared in the 1930's. Family stories had him dying in WWII but despite searches of various sources he could not be found - living or dead.
Then I received a hot match , it seemed so remote I was not going to reply but given it was only the second I had received ref the name I did.
To cut a long story short I have now been in touch with various new aunts & uncles and met my cousin, who has a very striking resemblance to one of my siblings..
Moral of the story - take a chance & reply to hot matches even if they don't seem to fit your "known " facts but also beware ...what you find might bring new questions.
