David Report 8 Feb 2004 19:21

My wife Christine was fostered from the age of two and a half, and grew up with no knowledge of her true family, other than the names of her mother and father, as shown on her birth certificate. She always wondered about her true origins, and our early attempts to track down any information on her father's family met with failure. On Wednesday 21st January 2004, we received an email from a lady who turned out to be my wife's cousin. Within 24 hours, we had confirmed without any doubt that my dear wife had at last found her mother's family. For the first time in her life, she has roots and ancestors, and a wonderful new family, who never forgot her, and never stopped looking. After 54 years, my wife now has some wonderful old photographs, showing her parents, grandparents, and a large collection of uncles, aunts, cousins, and their families. We are slowly meeting her new family members, and reclaiming her lost past. None of this would have been possible with out the love and dogged persistence of Chris's Cousin Nora, who never gave up the search, and the opportunity this website, Genesconnected, gave to make the link possible. Thank you!
