So far on Genes Connected I have found a thirdand second cousin on my mother's side and a third cousin once removed on my father's side. This site is amazing! I never really believed that I would find unknown relatives. I am in contact now and helping one of them with his one name studies. I helped my second cousin with the search for the graves of his grandparents because I live close to where they are buried. The second cousin has sent me pictures of my Nan's brother (his grandfather). I had heard about this gentleman but never seen him and thought I never would see him but thanks to genes connected I have seen. It was interesting to note the family resemblance in the photographs. Well done Genes Connected, let's hope more and more people add their relations to this database to increase the chances of success still further. |
