Hi,

Thank you for all of your feedback regarding the living relatives board. As a result of your feedback we have decided to change the way it currently works and allow replies to be made via post.

We will be installing this change imminently.

Keep your suggestions coming.

Please explore the possibility of somehow incorporating marriages between cousins and also where one sibling marries his or her step (half?) sibling, at the moment this would appear to be impossible

That is good news

Would you post this on the announcements board, too, please? Thank you.

Thank you GR...

Any way that we can have anything that should be on the Ancestors board put there when posted on living Rellies instead..
Or in fact get posts moved to the appropriate boards when on the wrong ones?

I'm with Christopher on the above comment. I have a number of marriages between cousins on my tree. At the moment the only way around this seems to be to have one of the partners in the marriage featuring twice in the tree - once with their parents and once with their marriage partner. This makes the tree very messy to follow

Christopher and John

this thread has absolutely nothing to do with trees ........ which is what you are talking about.

There are other threads on this Suggestion board making the same suggestion as you

May I suggest that uou find one of those threads, or start one of your own.

This thread is announcing much-needed changes to the Finding Living Ancestors board.

Could you please explain why a post that was reported as being duplicate last night (not by me) and the question answered on Find Ancestors, has now been reinstated.

When is this change going to happen as this board serves no purpose the way it is. It just means other people will look up the same info that has already been found.

As the thread with the info on was also reported you have deleted that instead....well that does make sense!!!!

Soonest done,soonest mended.
Thanks Phil as I have a couple of ER credits to use up by the end of the month(forgot to cancel,oh dear) and dont want to waste them on duplicates or let them be nicked back after I have paid for them :-D

You can now post replies on the living relatives board.

We do recommend that you still give consideration to what is posted in the reply, maybe even just to say that you have sent a PM (personal mail via the Send Message link - I think that's what it stands for).

Apologies for the delay. Phil

Hi Phil,

The instructions about the Living Relatives board in the "Help Clinic" need to be changed as it still says in there that no one can reply to posts on the Living Relatives Board. Newbies may get confused if there is different advice in different places.

Can anyone tell me how to put a post on the living relatives board? New to this board and have no idea what to do. Help menu just gives a blurb about being psychologically prepared for rejection, yada, yada, yada.

Appreciate any help.
