	A couple of sites that I use automatically add a note at the bottom of a post that has been edited, to show that it has been edited and when eg, something long these lines is added:- "edited 1 time, 6:50 pm June 30 2011" Is it at all possible for something like that to be added to posts on this site? Posts are often edited .................. remarks added or removed ........ and it would be so helpful to know that a post has been changed from the first time one read it! even just automatically adding "edited 1 time" would help. sylvia

	Like the idea. Would be useful when the thread poster keeps altering the info in their request. Sometimes do remove or amend postings when another member and I post the same info so that would show as an edit But I have a habit of going back and altering my spelling mistakes or lack of spaces.due to a sticky keyboard, so my replies would be littered with edited messages Or perhaps I should take more time reading my response before hitting the submit button :-P to my self

	Yes, good idea, and, as said, is used in other sites. Digital spy allows half an hour, I believe, for a poster to edit one's post.

	Joy, and GB one site I use allows about 5 or 10 minutes ....... which is enough time to edit spelling mistakes. sylvia

	Yes, they do phil. This isn't a criticism, but do you staff not belong to any other forums where you can see the way they operate? Many of the suggestions on here are things that are normal on many other forums, and would be useful additions on here.

	Phil On the site that I know best, they do not lock the thread after the 5-10 minutes ......... that's just the period of time during which they do NOT add the "information", thus allowing you to do a quick spell check, or add a forgotten bit. The thread stays open for editing as long as it is there ..................... but the edit information is added, so you can see that "Joe Blow" edited his post 5 days or 1 month later. sylvia

	The forum I use says the following when edited. « Last Edit: May 16, 2011, 11:29am by origgiddyup » It will show the original posters name as the person who edited the post unless someone includes text that the moderators don't like and then it will show which moderator edited the post. Gai
