I maintain a tree with only about 100 names on this site, and have made no changes to it in about 5 years.

I have no desire to add any more to this one.

so that is what the flags will show.

I have, in fact, all but completed all the research that I can do on my direct line, on my OH's direct line, and on many "sibling" lines.

I spend my time on the Community Boards, helping other members with their research.

Thanks, have checked and are of a similar responce to yours.

As an X programer I don't think it would be that difficult to determine the activity of a user considering what is held in the database of the system and the flags that say that you are logged in and when the last changes where made to the database.
May be asking for too much.

IF you had done an advanced searc, you would have found that this question has been asked several times

the question that arises is always "How on earth do you determine when a person was last active?"

There are many people like me who NEVER sign out, unless the site throws us off for some reason

This means that it could show that I was last active 2 years ago, because that was my last sign in ......... yet I am on site almost every day

But check advanced search, and see the other responses to similar questions.

Can a marker be added to the ‘hot match’ to indicate when a person has been active or how long ago that person was active on the site?
On numerous occasions I have found in ‘hot matches’ people that are probably close relatives both from the ancestor but also the person who’s tree it is. I have send messages to them via GR only to find months later the message has never read
