I would like to see the entire post including the title be removed when reported ,whilst GR decide to reinstate it or not.

Last night the post naming a 6 and 10 year old child in the title was left on show after the thread had been reported for several hours before it was removed

Lindsey

they seem to be able to remove the whole of the first post ON the thread immediately ........ and I think that is done automatically, by a computer programme

But it then takes time, for a moderator to read the post, before a decision is made,

but there should be no reason why the words shouldn't also disappear from the header posting.

It might be more difficult to remove a title.

but I do see your point!

If the entire thread and title was able to be removed immediately it would also deal with the buffoons who are presently advertising on the success board ?

it certainly would!

Presumably you mean only when the first post is reported, and would not apply when reporting subsequent postings?

Yes IGP, when the initial post is reported the TITLE should change to "This thread has been reported " leaving no inappropriate details on the board waiting for GR to remove them .

There are inconsistencies at present as the title and sometimes the first line are often left showing long after a report is made.

If the thread is deemed valid it can always be reinstated later.

I would prefer that posts to be moderated first by GR before being allowed on the FLR board if only in the interest of Data Protection.

Agree TF, but we were told that's not going happen,

so this needs to be implemented across all the boards to protect everyone.

I agree with you Lindsey*. GR need to get their act on something so important.

Perhaps management need to put themselves in the position on those being sought and think how would they feel if that post had been about their children or their personal life would they be happy.

Unfortunately GR do not seem to realize doing something right can reap higher profits than doing something half hearted

Just trying to get this back on track

The Suggestion, as far as I can see is for the Heading of a Thread to be blanked out if the original post is referred for review.

We seem to be straying on to a different subject altogether.
