I keep getting no response for Daniel Elward , who was born 1852 according to his birth certificate in Cardiff. What is going on here? He must be on birth, marriage, death certificate and census. Can you explain? Thank you. His mother was Elizabeth formerly Phillips and his father waas Evan Elward a shoemaker.

Helene,

If you read the message above you will see is says "This board is for you to add your suggestions for changes you would like to see made to Genes Reunited. We will be unable to respond to each post individually, but we will be checking the suggestions regularly and taking your suggestions on board."

You might be better posting the details on the Find Ancestors board where some kind member will help you.

In the meantime, when you say "you are getting no response", what exactly is it that you mean and what are you are hoping to find?

As Dan Elward in 1871 can see a marriage in 1881 can see him on ancestry in 1861 transcribed ok...but the writing is very bad so not sure what it has been transcribed as on here

well, he's certainly on the censuses, and other records, on ancestry

Try inputting birth year 1852 +/- 2

not all censuses have his birth as 1852 .......... it all depends on when the census was held vs his birth day.

It is true that I found him as Daniel Elward on ancestry only in the 1861 and 1871 censuses, so there may well be mis-transcription of his name.
