I have tried to post on threads but keep getting an error message.

Also tried to make changes to my tree and received the following message.

There has been a fatal error sending or receiving data from the site, please contact support urgently with details of what you were doing.

This is so annoying.

Still not right IGP.

I noticed you had posted a reply so tried to access the thread to read it. The error message below appeared so I did what it said and hit the back button but instead of returning me to the page I was on it went back to the home page. Hovered over the Community tab and then on the drop down clicked on suggestions tab. Got kicked out of the whole site so tried to log back in and nothing happened so tried to log in again and it work.

I'm with Gai,

I have been kicked out several times, trying to access different boards or threads. Several times it would not accept my log in details.

Off to do something quicker, like watching the washing machine go round.

It seems each time the techies announce improvements, there are problems.

We are extremely sorry for the performance issues last night and continuing this morning. We had an unexpected database issue that was resolved last night but is continuing to affect the site. We are aware that the site is still running slower than normal, and will resolve asap.

Each time there is a new gen.TV series Genes make changes to the site, such BAD timing, anyone joining the site walks into chaos and confusion.

Friday evening is a real bad time to alter this.
Using the user statistics its clear that Monday and Wednesday mornings are low user areas , and if a 2 day warning across the boards of changes is made, most glitches could be sorted in office hours.with minimum disruption

It.s so amateur, no other site gives poor service like this.

and also, several of those other sites are FREE


at least one of them was started by former GR members who got fed up with GR back about 4 or 5 years ago.



I think I may well start spending more time on those sites than I currently do.
