Suggestions

would be helpful to have a site that holds information to help find details of births,marriages,deaths of travellers /hawkers etc .would help people like me searching there ancestors that travelled from town to town almost every few weeks , they are not found in any censors , when you don't know what town they are born in doe's make things difficult .

Go to Rootschat - its free to join and has a specific thread for travelling/gypsy folk, you will be suprised at what the folk on this board can find.

Plus many other genealogy threads.

Much like this site, but no trees and many of us on here are also Rootschatters.

I knew of a lot of doe family in the Portsmouth area you could try telephone directories as many were housed .

I do not think Susan is looking for the name Doe, I think it is a typo error

when you don't know what town they are born in does make things difficult
