On Facebook

We need your help! Answer our short survey on Using Genes Reunited and you could be in with a chance to win a £50 M&S or Amazon voucher.

I would like the chance on this site but no mention on here

Days actually, but they seem to have deleted the original Facebook anouncement.

and I too think about doing the survey .....................except the "prize" is useless to me!

No M&S over here ..................

and Amazon (unless the voucher can be used on any of the Amazon sites) would cost more in postage than the voucher is worth

If I enter the competiton and win, will GR pay for my trip to the UK?

Was I the only one to get this survey via the June Newsletter earlier this week?

It's a very black and white survey - no space for comments - simply yes or no.

I did the survey but simply by-passed the box where you leave your email address in case you win - it was still accepted. However, I would have preferred that a space had been left for comments/ideas/sugggestions but, maybe, they couldn't face it.... :-D

There are still people asking for help on the FB - the GR advice for them is too well hidden to be seen. :-S

I've been looking at GR's Facebook page

Posting on there by a Research company.

Question: Did the research company add this, or are they recommended by GR?

NQR :-P

In case anyone hasn't noticed, there is a competition thread in Announcements.

I don't expect everyone to agree with me on this issue but this is my opinion of the competition.

I find question 3 a strange question to be asking about the Olympics.

Why would the name of Jane Torvill's mother be relevant. Surely they could have chosen another question in relation to the Olympics.

Also we hear constantly about identity theft and when you read about Jane Torvill, Roger Bannister and Steve Redgrave there is their full date of birth published for all to see.

Talk about double standards. We aren't meant to put Living People on our trees without permission but GR can post whatever they like for the world to see.

Gai, re Jayne Torvill....I was quite amused by that question but I guess the idea was to tie genealogy in with the Olympics.
I would have thought permission would have been sought and approved for the articles about the individuals.

Members being advised not to put living persons on their trees is to cover GRs back.

Wiki is awash with celebrities birth dates.
