Why have a Suggestions board?

It seems to me that none of the staff at GR are paying any attention to this board. They're certainly not responding to anything. I don't think I've seen a response to anything for more than a week.

Why have a Suggestion board if you're not paying any attention to it?

Because suggestions turn into long threads?

But if they responded it wouldn't turn into a long thread. The anger just mounts when people think they are being ignored.

I would also beg to suggest that most of the threads on Suggestions are not actually suggestions for changes members would like to see made to Genes Reunited, as set out in the board header.

GR also state that they will be unable to respond to individual postings on the board either.

Gee, Mr. Inspector, you always seem to be making excuses for GR! I'm beginning to suspect you work for them.

One little suggestion is that they remove the Santa hat from the emoticon. It is, after all, the 10th. of January. Is that not a suggestion? Has it been responded to? Or acted upon?

Okay we know what it says at the top of the board but unless GR do respond how does any member know if a change or suggestion is being dealt with. Wait to see if any updates include their suggestion !!

I am surprised that GR have not closed this board to new threads being added.

That's why when I contact GR Support I post the reply into the suggestions thread, in an effort to comminucate with everyone.

I understand that GR can't look at each thread, but they could easily run a report and work out what topics are say the top 5 suggestions made per month and use them to improve or rectify the site.

Just my opinion,,,

Wonders if they are hiding and setting up stand at Olympia, ready for forthcoming WDYTYA show!, perhaps some kind soul will point them in direction of 'Suggestions Board' whilst there, lol.
(unable to go this year, otherwise I'd have a 'little' word, in their shell like!)

Well Phil listened to Chris and I at the show last year but nothing was really achieved !!!

It did seem a good idea initially.

Perhaps it should be renamed "FRUSTRATIONS" Board.

Certainly nobody at Genes seems to be taking the slightest bit of interest at the momemnt :-(

I believe at one times genes reunited staff posted that it was for fixes and suggestions. I for one would prefer, most of the time, to post about an issue here rather than to [email protected] or.com, because, a lot of the time, a standard response would be received from the latter ie suggesting use different browser or co.uk instead of nz.

And I still have faith in Phil Moir.

There silence speaks volume

Phil asked me for info on one thread and still not got a reply back so no faith in any of the team
