Last couple of days, sending contact messages.......... finish message, click SEND...........wait.......... wait some more.............. wait a bit longer.......... and get...........DRRRRRRRUM RRRRRRRRROLLL........ERROR MESSAGE! Surprise! Surprise!

Did the message go? Don't know...... let's check Sent Messages.......... click........ wait............wait...........wait a bit longer...........another DRUM RRRRRRROLL.... ERROR MESSAGE! SURPRISE! SURPRISE!

Try again........... Sent Messages......... click............ wait.........AND I'M IN! WHOOPEE!

And........... the message WAS sent! SURPRISE SURPRISE!

What a lot of pharting about, just to send a message. :-P

Dear Diary... Day 5 .. went in straight away albeit slowly but no signing on required.

Day 6.. and I am still getting straight onto system...

So have to guess that stern words seemed to work..

Well my zapping stopped.. I have had to log in each day (which was completely unheard of for me)... I do not have any cookies (not even chocolate chip) everything is clear as.

Dear Diary : Day 1... had to log in today. I set up a new bookmark and removed old one. Closed site and it was fine re opened. Went out so turned off computer.. got back and went to straight to my page on GR

Day two: A new day has dawned and I have had to log on again. Day went okay no more having to log in if I came out of site. Bookmark works great.

Day three: Had to log on again... now I am getting cross, however, it worked okay all day and evening.

Day four: just had to log on again.

Tell you what GR if it does it to me again tomorrow I will give up bothering. I have had continuous membership since April 2004 so after 8 years I would think things should be a lot better than they are... so stuff it.

Ann, I will do your book club till June when the membership expires.

And then I shall join all my other friends that are no longer members.

For at least a week I've had the Purple Error Message when getting on site. Click on the GR Logo, get another P E M ...click on Logo again........ and finally get here.

I don't have to sign in (unless I sign out).

At least it works, but it is still VERY annoying!

Try to look at my tree (the OLD one, I will eventually use the new one when the bugs are gone)............. at least five P E M before getting access. FRUSTRATING.

YES, I clear cookies etc.

I´ve got a new one (well new to me anyway).
Put in my username & the password space fills in automatically as I have the remember me box ticked.
Click on sign in & get a message saying my password is required.
Fill in the password again, click on sign in & get another message asking me if I want to update my password. Click on "no" & get taken to the homepage without further ado.
It only takes a few seconds, but it´s really irritating.

I am zapping in now, don't have to play freecell (oh darn) while I wait for the thingey to go round and round..

I have logged out and back in again just like that... not like that.. like that as Tommy Cooper would say. Triffic.

Note to Glossie Ann... somewhere in the deep dungeons of a thread or blog Phil has said that we would all have to log on again and then it should be ok.. Maybe you tried during the completion of this "fix it".... providing it hasn't just had a plaster on it and has been fully repaired maybe it is ok for you all. I have always got in and had less errors than most but now it is cooking with gas.

How absolutely infuriating when for 2 weeks now I have not had to log in at all and thought all this nonsense was behind us. Advance warning would have been good. I didn't have to loog in first thing, then ten minutes ago I did, and then I had to log in again to add reply. So sick of it. :-(

Just wondering why we have an annoucement board if the GR Team do not post useful information on it. After the event would be better than not at all.

Why should we have to come across a posting from the Team by chance

Communication from the Team is not getting any better

Wouldn't it make sense to also put your message on the announcement boards - that's where I looked first when I had a problem this morning!

Actually I think a new board is needed just for service announcements. I don't think regurgitating newspaper articles warrants the announcement boards.

So anybody who tends to stay logged in, has forgotten their password and has not updated their e-mail address is toast. Neither will they be able to change auto-billing.

I suppose that GenesRU could have sent a warning about this change but at least they are consistent about saying nowt before the event.

I forgot to post an announcement yesterday indicating that we were going to do an early morning deployment. My apologies about that. This deployment includes some changes to the login process behind the scenes and everyone should be required to log in again. There are a number of other changes that will be detailed in this weeks technical update blog. Including much needed performance ones on the home page and login process.
