I asked this question on a thread by GB but I can't get back to it !!!!!

Maybe it deserves a thread of it's own ??

WHY IS IT THAT THERE WERE NO ERROR MESSAGES HAPPENING ON THE WEEKEND OF THE WDYTYAlive ????????

iF THEY COULD SORT IT THEN, SURELY THEY MUST KNOW HOW TO SORT IT NOW ???????????????????

They are probably doing some maintenance or development which means temporarily locking our some parts of the system. They couldn't have done that during WDYTYLive because the developers were on the stand.

I have had the error message a lot today but am usually able to do what I want after a few seconds.

Are you making excuses for GR again, Ken?
Surely if they were planning maintenance today they could have let us know beforehand. I have had at least a dozen error messages today and it's not just the "My Threads" board, it's all of them now.

Join the club gals. I've had it all day, and have still got it. It is a bloomin' nuisance. I'll wear me finger out keep clicking on Error messages. Hope it has cleared up for Monday

Oh, look at the time!!

I have been on the "Find Ancestors" board since 7.30am this morning, trying my best to help members with their research............AND, i pay for the pleasure!!

And all thanks to GR with the error messages, i have ended up looking like a right numpty because i can't continue and post the information asked for.........AND on one PM received, i kept getting the dreaded "Error Message"......and so i persevered, only to find that the message had been sent 5 TIMES!!

So call me a numpty why don't you!!

I have got on the site with no problem, and also fast ......... TWICE

I have posted 3 messages, no problem .............. BUT I did get the Error message twice when trying to open My Threads, before "third time lucky".


Have not yet tried opening My Threads on this visit

spoke too soon, didn't I!!



it was working beautifully for me ....... first tried entering GR about 90 minutes ago. No Problem. Had to have 3 tries to open My Threads, but got in on 3rd try. Wrote and submitted a post, no problem.

Re-entered GR about 10 minutes ago .... no problem.

Opened Suggestions .... no problem.

Read new posts on one thread ...... no problem.

Opened this thread, wrote and submitted a post ..... ERROR after ERROR after ERROR.

Left the thread, and tried to re-open it ....ERROR.

Tried to open another thread ........ ERROR.

Left the Board, and tried to re-enter .... ERROR.

Tried to open Find Ancestors ...... ERROR

Tried to enter Suggestions after something over 5 minutes ....... success



............. and find that the second attempt to post a message on here worked! The other two did not.



This is crazy!!!

I had not looked at my hotmail for a few days (naughty me)... found this one a couple of minutes ago.

Reply from GR dated 7th March -

" Phil has spent some time this morning looking into these errors. He made a few changes at lunch time (UK time) and you should now be able to log in and use the site without seeing any error messages.

Please could you sign in and use the site as normal. If you do encounter any error messages then please let me know exactly where on the site you see them. "

I have already replied. I'm sure you can imagine what I wrote.

I will copy this message just in case it disappears and I get another Error Message.
