When viewing someone tree ( New format ) and to get to the person you wish to view you do a search.
Some times it may display a list. One would expect by clicking on this person it would take you to that person.

But it returns me back to my own tree, thinking this must me one of these gremlins attacking again had several go’s. Unable to go forward to view this person, but each time I make an attempt a new tab opens to my tree.
:-(

I have had a similar problem, but when I click on a person on the list I don't get returned to my own tree. Nothing happens at all! I've gone back to using the tree in the old format.

There is also a thread on Genealogy Chat where the poster seems to be having the same problem so come on GR, get it sorted please

To use "old tree" hover over "Family tree"

My tree
Use old tree <<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<,
Import GEDCOM

Go to Family Tree on the bar at the top of the page. Hover over it without clicking and a drop down menu shows which includes "Use Old Tree". Click on that.
I hope they are going to leave the old tree accessible until they have sorted all the gremlins on the new one.

My old Dad used to tell me not to fix something unless it is broke. The OLD TREE worked perfecly well for me with 13500 names and I was able to view and print other trees as well. Now I am lucky if I can get e tree open. More Grrrrrssss. :-( :-( :-( :-(

Got a message in my inbox. two names on it, I know the surnames, but not the particular people..... so thought I'd look at the (opened) tree........clicked on View ..... waited.........and waited............ and waited........ must be a BIG tree, taking so long............ went away & made a coffee.......... came back..........still waiting. So, got out of that, went to my (old) tree (got three Error Messages on the way) and got to the other tree..........

Guess how many names on the other tree?

ONE!!! :-P

And............ why do I sometimes get "page expired"? Nothing wrong with the connection - OH is sitting at other desk using another keyboard & monitor - we use a router.

Scozzie, before you select the other tree you can see how many names they have in it by the number in brackets next to the owner's name.

Yes Kense, but by the time I got to (my) New tree I was so frustrated I didn't look! Can't see the number of people on the tree when you click on "view" in a message.

Can't believe that person sent a message asking if we had any matching names. Only name on the tree was his own. :-|

I've had worse contacts.... one said "Who did your John Smith marry?" Nothing else. I usually respond to messages, but not that one. Didn't deserve a reply :-)
