Imagine building a house............

Decorating it beautifully ( ? ), gorgeous carpets, lovely curtains, all looking wonderful, but the foundations are rotten........ the roof leaks.... the plumbing is bad...... there are termites in the floorboards............and the electricity wiring is dodgy........

One day it will fall down.

Surely that is what the main problem is, they are spending too much time tweaking and adding bits which interfere with the day to day running of this site, instead of getting the bits that are not working sorted.... :-S

GR staff seem to be working on bits & pieces that aren't necessary.

The BASICS have fallen apart.

It would be nice to be able to customise the home page as can be done on Ancestry. However let's not get them to change anything at the moment, just concentrate on getting the rest working.

On my home page it tells me that there are more than 1000 discussions with the word Sydney in them.

Why I need to know this I don't know.

This is on the Home Page. I can do without it.

It lists Hot Matches etc. I have a long list of "Unseen" Hotmatches. They're not unseen, I have looked at all of them. GR's system hasn't caught up yet.

Also - It lists messages, as in "You have 2 unseen messages". Why list this? The Message on the ToolBar shows when I have messages.

Stop messing about! Work on what NEEDS working on!!!!!
