and am now stuck with the 'Blanchard's tree. How can I get my tree back?

At the top it says in large print the name of the person who's tree you are looking at,Click on the name and the tree dashboard will open,

Your name will be at the top just click on your name

My Name is at the top with counts of relatives but I still have the 'Blanchards' tree instead of mine. When I click on' View other trees' only 19 names comes up all beginning with 'A'. I still cannot get my tree back as before I still have the 'Blanchards'.

This Board is really intended for suggestions to GR on improvements to the site.

It is not intended for help or complaints.

You should send a message to [email protected]

I gather there is such a feedback button on the new tree. (I never use the tree facility, so I'm not sure where that is).

But above all ........ PLEASE contact them so they know you have a problem.

They do not read the boards and threads on a regular basis, so they do not KNOW so many people are having problems.

Hi Sylvia - I have emailed GR and have explained to them about my Family tree on GR. It is still the same and I cannot get my tree back even though my name is still at the top with the counts of relatives/family but with someone else's immediate tree on it!!

Thank you

I have tried what you had (Porkie Pie) told me but it still does not work and have reported it to Genes Reunited for the second time. What actually happen is when I first open the GR tree the other family's tree comes up even though my name and counts of relatives/family are still at the top.
I found that the only way I can get access to my tree is by putting one of my relatives names on the Search top right hand side and then my tree comes up but still have the other family's tree on it whereas is should be my family tree.

Any other suggestions as this other tree should not be on my tree.

Thank you

Effie

It is just possible that pressing CTRL and F5 together, might work.

I have tried that but nothing is happening, still stuck with the other tree on opening.

Effie, I've just tried my tree and a cousin's to see if the same thing happened, but it didn't ...have you tried closing the tree entirely and then opening again? or even signing out and back in to the site? Sometimes works if things get 'stuck'.

I no that GR seem to use clearing your cache as the answer to everything from error messages to cooking sunday lunch but

Have you tried it?

it does work some times?
