Its a new version of the tree, like any new version it helps if you read the instructions you can find the instruction for the new tree updates on this link

Gail, your notes are in the panel that opens on the right of the screen

top right just under the page header their are 4 icons just under the icons is a small box click on that box to open the panel then scroll down the panel to see your notes

I so agree with you regarding the new improved site. I too will stop using it as although I have asked for help, It was quite useless. I can't find my notes on my relatives nor can I find date of death all of which I have previously entered.. If there is anyone out there who could put it in simple terms I would very much appreciate, I feel that 3 years work has gone.

Sorry but after many enjoyable years with Genes, i am now moving to another site, i would have stayed if we were given the option of staying with the old tree
