I have been a member here for 6 months. I have had limited success in building up my family tree. Many e-mails that I sent are unanswerd or the owner no longer belongs to Genes Reunited.

There is no easy way to get help either. Or is it me?

So I am not renewing my subscription.

:-(

A lot depends on how you are developing your tree.

I would suggest that when you hit a brick wall (as we all do regularly) you pop over to the Genealogy Chat or the Find Ancestors board and ask for help.

IE Joe Bloggs c.1888 Epsom, Surrey - cannnot find on 1891 census.

You will be surprised at the information that onther members can come up with and they will also advise on the best way to use all records that are available including those which are free, such as FreeBMD which is probably one of the best tools for the beginner.

So do not give up hope, just take advantage of the generosity of the other members and see how we can help you. :-)

Researching:
We are all of us in the gutter, but some of us are looking at the stars, Oscar Wilde New avatar, my dad age about 3/4 months, could have been worse, it could have been the awful nude on a rug!!

Welcome to the boards Clive

If you need help with building your tree why not ask on the Find Ancestors board, you will find many members willing to help you
