Joy Kentish Maid Report 13 Sep 2013 12:25

It was a request to move a military research tips thread into the new military chat board; I posted in the thread yesterday.

Thank you.

Natasha referred to it in
http://www.genesreunited.co.za/boards/board/suggestions/thread/1324153

• Please move a military research tips thread into the new military chat board
- We've compiled a list of threads that should be moved to the two new boards – Military Chat and Hobbies & Crafts – this one has been added in. The changes should be made today.

Hi Joy - we moved the military research tips thread across to the military chat board, and I've stickied it. You've posted please above - could you let me know if you're waiting on something else for this thread that I've overlooked.

Thanks
Natasha

Natasha, I know what was moved to the military board, with Phil's kind help.

On 13 September (above) I asked for my thread (that had vanished) that I posted in the suggestions board to be restored:
it requested that the military research tips thread be moved to the new military board.

Threads do get removed in error, as you know, and they can be, and have been restored in the past.

Hi Joy, as the suggestion has been implemented I see no reason for the thread to be reinstated.

In that case, no doubt you will be removing all the other threads from which a suggestion has been implemented?

Previous instances of threads removed in error by GR have always been restored by GR staff, as you will be aware.

One suggestion of mine some while ago was to move actioned threads to a sub-board showing that action had been taken on the suggestion.

A sub board, for completed threads

Could completed / actioned threads be removed to a sub board within the suggestions board?

Seems like a sound suggestion. Thanks.

There doesn't seem to be any point in GR using valuable resources in restoring a suggestion thread that has already been implemented, particularly as they say they will such threads when implemnted (in the stickied thread about the suggestions board).

Why they don't remove the others that have been implemented is a good question and I agree it would be tidier if they were to be moved to a sub board.
