Hi there, this thread somehow just popped up as a recent thread, though I cannot find a recent post on it.

However, I have so much family in Leicester and would be thrilled if it is still a happening thing.

Is it? Is Mike still out there?

Found this - of interest to anyone with links to Knighton: http://www.british-history.ac.uk/report.aspx?compid=66594

Mike, Hope you have recovered from that wee camp - think the above will answer that confusion about the road lived on by my Heatherill - Sandown v. Lansdowne!!

Just a thought - don't suppose you have a record that shows which church John Bradshaw Norton and Jane Butler were married in in Leicester in the quarter ending Sept 1853 do you? My bet would either go to a non conformist church, or St Margaret's, but could of course be wrong!!

Thanks.

I have been unable to find a death that seeems to fit and wondered if you could check PR for the area of Thurlaston. many thanks Chrys.

Hi Mike, are you still looking to help people? My Grandmother was Elizabeth Jordan, born 1827 who wed John smith in Leicester. I know that they once lived in Orchard street, and that John once lived in Earl Shilton, but I know nothing about her parents, where she was born or when she died. It would be lovely if you could help. Eileen

Hi all, me again - get the pills ready.. I have in my possession a death certificate for William Craddock Bond who died in 1861 (19th May) at Leicester lunatic asylum (now, there is a surprise!) in the sub district of West Leicester.
Does anyone have any idea as to where this was/is?

Much appreciated as ever,
Sarah
