and "Haight Ashbury North" (real name 4th Avenue) was still going strong here in Vancouver when we moved up here.


still a lot of hippies, and hippie shops, in that part of the city :-D

Hair and body with Satuma wash. Sniff - ahhh.

Not a smudge of coving adhesive on me and I can safely raise my arms too. ;-)

I absolutely will not ask about the Beavers. Mind you I do remember reading about the moggy who attacked and gorged himself on some of the wildlife from the local pond. He ended up as a Duck-filled Fatty Puss :-D

Dizzi - quite agree, but if you can remember the 60s you weren't there! I have hippy hips too.

Sylvia, was in Haight Ashbury briefly a few years ago, lot of it very posh now but still a lot of the old vibe.

I remember lots from the sixties. But one important thing to remember.... If you should go to San Francisco, be sure to wear some flowers in your hair.
