You have to go to 'Full Tree', drag it around so that you can see the other person, then hover your mouse of the persons name.

The (genetic) relationship to you will then be shown but not 'The wife of...'.

You can work out the relationships between any tree entries the same way once you've clicked on the 'root' you want the relationship for

Select yourself, then scroll up and hover the mouse over the person you're interested in.
The relationship will show up in a little box above the person's name.

Crikey Jan thanks for that, will come in useful in the future no doubt.

What I really meant and didn't explain very well is:

On my GR tree, is there some way that GR can instantly tell me the relationship to me of someone who is also on my tree.

Hi

Think I've asked this before, duhhh, but have forgotten.

How can I work out the relationship to me of someone in my tree?

Thanks
