Hello friendlywelshdragon

Trying widening the search dates - I found an extension in the London Gazette but not the original notice.

Also try the local/county papers there may be a report or notice regarding the bankruptcy.

The local libraries in Glamorgan are very helpful and, if you send an email, they will search archived newspapers for you. Put all the information you have in an email. Here's the link for Maesteg library. Sorry, I'm no computer expert so I can't turn it blue!
