If you can find no reference, try writing to the address and the neighbours to see if anyone knows what's happened to him. A SAE frequently helps with a reply

Thank you tried Zoopla there is no houses being sold down that street and the phone book brought up no results of his name thank you again

Check the last known address on http://www.zoopla.co.uk/ to see if it has been sold.
It's always possible that he still lives there but has opted out of the commercial ERs

Look on http://www.thephonebook.bt.com for his surname and area - listings are arranged alphabeticaly so A Brown with before B Brown etc. See if any addresses match with the ER entry

He is living alone at the address , he was married had a daughter ,did the son left them behind moved to Hertfordshire and remarried but no more children and then must of left that wife aswell.

Is he living alone at the address? No sign of a spouse?

Hi Jan yes it says she is a widow , I looked on the electoral register and found the adopted son in 2002 living at the address as on the death certificate but then he disappears and no record of him dying .

Have you tried looking for his son, as you have a name (and presumably address) for him on the death cert?
Does it say if Kathleen is a widow?

Hi Reggie just found William Robert was born in 1906 Jan - March, Kathleen is in Portsmouth on the 1911 census with her family and William Robert on 1911 census in Ireland . thank you .

Hi Jan Kathleen died in Bridlington in 1995 and her adopted son was the informant .

Do the family appear on the 1911 England/Wales census?

It would be helpful if you could find accurate birth info..........with regard to looking for a death

I am trying to find out information on a William Robert Barnes he was born in county mayo in Ireland 1905/ 1906 and came with his parents and siblings back to east Yorkshire in 1911 /1919 . I know he was in the kings own Yorkshire light infantry and was in India around 1937 . He married his cousin in 1937 in east Yorkshire Kathleen Mary Barnes nee Barnes and had a child in 1948 Gloucester that died as a baby and they then adopted a child , I am interested to find out any other information regarding William Robert Barnes and am unable to find him passing away , any help would be much appreciated thank you .
