Ancestry has Electoral Rolls as follows:

London and Midlands 1832 - 1965
Dorset 1839 - 1922

If you read the info in the article I posted, you'll find how wrong that person is

You also need to take into account the limitations of the Electoral Franchise in the years preceding the introduction of the Universal Franchise

On having a conversation last night with someone they believe they possibly commenced in 1920/30s.
I didnt want to contact approp., library archives until i knew for sure as to what year for the people im interested in passed away in 1920s.
