Hi

Does anyone know whether deleted trees are removed from public gaze immediately or whether it takes a while to percolate through the system.
Many thanks

The best way to find out is to check on the site after you have deleted your tree

I am fairly certain that the tree is removed immediately.

It may be that the indices are still there for up to a month as happens when you change from public to private or vice versa.

If so, you entries may turn up in searches but there will be no data for anyone to view.

Thanks both!

I did double check after the person in question advised me he had deleted my data which he had uploaded without reference to me. It was there first thing this morning and at lunch time. Not just showing in the the search but the entire tree. I will give it a few days and then contact the person again.

I appreciate your prompt response. :-)

Hi KenSE

I thought you might wish to know that the public tree deletion is following the pattern you describe. That is to say, it is still turning up during a search but the data cannot be viewed. Hopefully it will disappear altogether soon!

Thanks once again for your response. :-)
