Hi there, Please excuse my ignorance but I would love to research the census history of an old house in Dunbar. Is there anyway I can access the details of this address through genes reunited?

St. Ronan's
East link Road,
Dunbar
Scotland.

Thanking you in advance. Demelza,

If you have access to Ancestry then all census from 1841 to 1901 can be searched by address for the Scottish census

BUT you really need to research the property back from now to 1911 0r 1901 in case of name changes etc

Not getting any matches for 1841 or 1851

East Barns Lince comes up quite a bit.

When was the house built?

Has it always had the same name?

Demelza Report 19 Sep 2013 09:50

Sorry about the delay in replying, Reggie. I was travelling down to England yesterday.

The house was built in 1828 and we can see it on a map of that period, which unfortunately doesn't give street names. Rumour has it, that at some point in the 19th century it was a manse. We are unsure at the moment if it has always had the name: St Julians.
