Certain that a death certificate would still be issued even if the informant was the coroner etc

Can you give some details please

Could she have remarried

When was she last known to be alive etc

mauricef

mauricef Report 28 Sep 2013 16:39

She was alive in 1911 and was living with my grandfather they had four children
the last one was born 1911

Her name Elizabeth Priscilla Ladd she was living with Frederick James Cain
They had four children.
This was in the 1911 census they address was in Hope Road Ealing.
After this my grandfather moved to Scotland and married Helen King
thet then emigated to the USA in 1923
But I can find no trace as yet of Elizabeth also I can not find a marriage certificate Between Elizabeth and Frederick nor can I find a death certificate for Elizabeth
But my father was an orphan.

The short answer is that, Yes, a Death Cert would be issued even in case of suicide. I have one such for 1895.

There's this death. But your father would have been 29 by then.

England & Wales, Death Index, 1916-2007
about Elizabeth Ladd

Name: Elizabeth Ladd
Birth Date: abt 1870
Date of Registration: Dec 1933
Age at Death: 63
Registration District: Brentford
Inferred County: Middlesex
Volume: 3a
Page: 243

..........
I was wondering if perhaps Ada Ellen married under the surname LADD:
England & Wales, Marriage Index, 1916-2005 about Ada E Ladd
Name: Ada E Ladd
Spouse Surname: Hume (George L)
Date of Registration: Oct-Nov-Dec 1932
Registration District: Brentford
Inferred County: Middlesex
Volume Number: 3a
Page Number: 561
..................
But not really where I'd expect:
England & Wales, Death Index, 1916-2007 about Ada Ellen Hume
Name: Ada Ellen Hume
Birth Date: 1 Feb 1907
Date of Registration: Sep 1975
Age at Death: 68
Registration District: Newton Abbot
Inferred County: Devon
Volume: 21
Page: 1422
..................
Probably trying to do the square pegs round holes trick again. :-) :-)
