Marie Celeste, Yes this is my Grandparents and family, son Edward was my father.
Jax, Did the 1897 passenger list give dob, first names or initials for H Wyers accompanying family? Harold married Maud in 1888.and they had 3 children by 1897 - 1 daughter Mary dob 1896. 2 sons Robert dob 1895, George 19 93. Having experienced transcription errors on various researches I have the faint hope that the 1897 list is the one I am looking for.

Marge, no my Harold's wife was Maud Mary (nee Davies)
Jax, I do not belong to Find My Past I use The Genealogist site. and Ancestry ( only basic membership on that one. Every site seems to cost a fortune if you need to search further in depth!
My information came from Genes but I didn't see anywhere that I could check accompanying family.
Thanks for the advice anyway.

I found those on Find my past....but they are also on Genes and Ancestry

Obviously the 1897 one is not your man...The 1909 does not give an initial...and I couldn't see one in 1907 to post

The only H Wyers coming up on incoming lists is in 1921, coming from South Africa.

Thora Report 7 Nov 2013 12:35

I have details of H Wyers on board leaving the UK as a passenger on 3 occasions :
1897 Destination Boston. ship: CANADA.
1907 Destination Montreal. ship: VICTORIA.
1909 Destination New York ship: LUSITANIA
Family rumours are that my Grandfather abandoned his wife and children to go to America. If this was true then I believe the passenger to be my relative.
Of interest 1911 census shows his wife as "widow" whereas my Grandfather died 1915 in England.
I would like to know where I can find passenger list for incoming ships (his youngest son was born in May 1907).
