Brown - Etty born c.1892

ProfilePosted byOptionsPost Date

William Report 8 Nov 2013 11:32

I'm researching Browns in Gt Yarmouth and particularly interested in finding out more about Etty.
Etty's parents were William Brown b.1868 and Selina Gowing b. 1868, d. 1904, m. 1890.
Siblings were Emma, William, Arthur, Susan (Susanna)
Hope somebody can help as I am hitting a brick wall, as whilst I have a birth certificate and can find her in 1901 census, I cannot find marriage or death certs - Family folklore tells me she married and lived beyond 1920

Thank you all for your wonderful responses. Let me deal with each individually:-

Glitterbaby:- I believe she was Etty Selina. You have cracked it for me, for some reason I could not see the wood for the trees. I'm indebted

Brumiejan:- Now that Glitterbaby has opened the door for me, I can now research that side of the family. You maybe right

Astra:- Thanks for your input. That could be the same Etty because she does not appear with her father and sister in the 1911 census.

Thanks all for your wonderful contributions. I have had a great couple of weeks through Genes Reunited, not only have I resolved Etty, but also my grandmother (Etty's sister), by me responding to a blog query was placed on this site.

All this after 8 yrs of hitting a brick wall
