Gilbert Shotton married Mary Lawson......her maiden name was Reed.....I would be interested if there was a connection. Gilbert was a widow with children.

I have a Mary Lawson nee reed who married a Shotton in the 1850s Sunderland.....I don't have my tree on me at the moment but am sure someone could look it up.....she was my Greatx3 grandmother. I do believe she also had children by the Shotton fellah....I wonder if there is a link between yours and mine....one never knows :-)

In case anyone thinks I've lost the plot..........Hilary's registered name was Hilda, which, incidentally, would fit nicely with the family posted above.

If you hav'nt you will notice there a quite a few George Shotton's born early 1900s in that area so it is virtually impossible to try to help without more info

Above named was my late father,d,o,b, early 1900s' in Sunderland co; Durham,.Died late 1950s' He had a sister [and other siblings] who lived in Pallion Sunderland and she had triplets [boy] Prior to death he lived in Pennywell Sunderland.All help appreciated to find any relatives from this side of the family so i can add them to family tree, Thankyou :-(
