I do not think the two children were adopted or with anyone else....just left off the census

You can see Richard messed up the form when filling it in and the ages of the children are on there, then crossed out

As for the marriage...it probably never happened

Mother Hannah late Barton, King.

Have already copy of 1911 census showing Richard Charles age 39 and Hannah age 33.
Daughter Hannah was born in 1909 and sister Lillian 1910 but both these children not shown on census

Believe maybe with other relatives, possible adoption There was a further child born to Hannah in 1915, father shown as Richard Barton, understand that she was adopted by Richard Barton.

1911 census also shows married for 10 years, not sure if this is correct as also believe first marriage is possibly Robert Barton in 1899 - already have this record.

But i would like to know if the poster has the first marriage cert

I think I saw them in 1901 in Mile End.
I can't see a second marriage at all, nor a suitable death for Robert
