£12.for a Scotish certificate

There is no extra charge for which type of certificate you have,Thomas,,,,,

I looked on the newspaper sites, but couldn't find anything, do you know how much death certificates usually are?

Hi Thomas,

Cause of deaths is only recorded on the death certificate under normal circumstances ,in GB and other countries ,,,,,,,,so the only way will be to buy the certificate..

There are no websites that will give the cause,,,,,,,,unless there was reasons for an inquest/accident then a newspaper may carry the report.

I would like to know how to find an ancestors cause of death, preferably a free website if possible, although I might try paying for a good site.
