I don't know whether I am on the right board. But I was wondering if there is a sight on here or else where I can find an address for some body living in a certain area in 19 40s.

Not done during WW2

Depending on location Ancestry has London, Surrey, West Yorkshire

Otherwise you need the library nearest to the address

If the location is not one covered by Ancestry, you will not be able to search by name.
