So sad to hear of another researcher gone. I know it's been a few months but I've only just seen this.

My sincere condolences to his family and I hope that knowing he was such a great help to so many people on these boards brings you all a degree of comfort.

RIP Mike.

Very sorry to read this news on Rootschat today.

Mike was a fantastic help when I first started my research on Genes years ago, and I'm so glad I had the privilege of meeting him.

RIP Mike.

Mike's funeral was on Monday. Genealogy friends came from as far afield as Manchester and Norfolk. http://www.rootschat.com/forum/index.php?topic=675621.50 The attendance of so many was much appreciated by the family.

"Hi

It is my very sad duty to let you all know that my dad "mike from Leicester" passed away suddenly last Friday.

I'm sure over the years he has helped a great number of you and that was my dad... He loved to help with any problem and I know tracing family's brought him a lot of joy.

He will be missed more than would of ever realised and touched on so many peoples lives

Sleep now dad xxx with al my love always Rachel xxx"

Mike was so helpful and generous to me and many others both in genealogy and in his "other life" as a "Boy" Scout. Will miss him and our chats. Maggie
