Greeting’s Again Elaine & Happy New Year to you……. I’m not sure if I will be able to go to the Records Office tomorrow. I need to take the Church Decorations down before 12th.night. I had earmarked tomorrow to do this……. But in the meantime. …… I’ve checked out via my disk on the details you have posted. I’ve listed those interned within the same plot ( U.F.12 ) below in YEAR order S = Single Internment ( 1st. use of plot.) F. = Family Plot. . Ward Burials Welford Road Cemetery. Names./ dates. / Ages. / Last known address./ Parish. George Isaac 3 Dec 1865 48 Slawson Street Saint George U F 12 S 16463 George Isaac 15 Mar 1871 3mths Royal East Street Saint Margaret U F 12 F 25792 Eliza Ann 25 May 1875 8 Napier Street Saint Mary U F 12 F 34211 Amina Leonora 2 Apr 1879 6mths Raglan Street Saint Mary U F 12 F 42088 So the children MUST be Grand children. Immaculate conception comes to mind if not. ..Ummm !! ..8-/ The details at the Records Office would be as above but with the addition of the officiating Minster. NO Parents names given. I think you need to get the Death Cert.’s to determine the Parents of the children.:- George Isaac 0. Jan Feb Mar, Qrt. 1771.Leicester. Cert No. 7a. 146. Eliza Ann. 8. Apr.May.Jun Qrt. 1875. Leicester.Cert No. 7a. 158. Anina Leonara.0. Jan.Feb.Mar. Qrt. 1879. Leicester.Cert No. 7a. 210. Plus George Isaac 48.( Snr) Oct.Nov.Dec. Qrt. 1865.Leicester. Cert No. 7a. 124. This would hopefully given spouses name & His Occupation ? MIKE. xxx ...Passes hat round for collection for Elaine's Certs

Mike. The Leicester Lad.(GC) Report 3 Jan 2007 23:58

Greeting’s Again……. Bacardi I doubt very much that Ellen was buried within the grounds of The Enderby Work House ….1907 I don’t think they had consecrated ground……. This building was pulled down in 1930. And a New Old folks Home built on the site straight a way. They would not be allowed to do this until the Leese's ran out More likely Ellen was buried at St. John Parish Church within the village of Enderby. If you wish I will have a look at the Parish Burial registers next time at the Records Office…… Failing that I’ll have a word with the Lay Preacher for St. John’s Who is a good friend of mine. ………. MIKE. P.S. I've just had a look at Enderby early burials although no Rodds there.... There are lots of burials with the notes :- ' Abode Union Work House Enderby ' Which seems to bear out my early thoughts. .....

Mike. The Leicester Lad.(GC) Report 4 Jan 2007 22:02

Greeting’s Again……. Bacardi….. I did a flying visit to the Records Office today BUT No Rodd Burials found for St. Johns Enderby 1905.~09 Did look around other Villages close to Enderby 1905. ~09. Narborough, Whetstone, Cosby. Huncote, Croft, Countesthorpe, Glen Parva. But drew a blank in all above And finally Blaby Village it’s self. But the burial records for the village Blaby only covered the CHURCH YARD. For burials within the “ Civil Cemetery” you will have to contact the Blaby County Council via that link I gave you on Rootschat site. They are the only ones who hold records. Records Office Staff confirmed that the “ Blaby Union Workhouse Enderby ” did NOT have burials…… MIKE. ......Sorry.
