So presumably Jane Pinning married William Hall - but it must have been her second marriage. As George Herbert is a pinning, perhaps he was john pinning's son?

HI All..
Not sure if this is still active.. but George Herbert was my grandmothers brother. By the looks George H was living with Jane at the time of Mary's married life with John Stephenson began. Mary & John have one daughter, Lily - my grandmother.
John died circa 1882/3.. At some point Mary Pinning remarried a Smith and in 1884 travelled to Queensland as a 'remittance' passenger (someone in Qld paid for her trip out). Mary embarks on the 11 NOV 1884 with just the children, all travelling under the name of Smith. The husband is already in QLD??
Mary returns to the UK by 1901 (census) and lives with her mother Jane and lives in Kesteven St, Lincoln. Lily & my dad visit her in 1932.. I think she passed not too long after that.. I have photo's of the visit.
George Herbert passed away in Rockhampton in 1963... I hope this helped ...
