Shame we can't have a picture of Glen on here...the mind boggles...short, with turnips in pants, cigarette lighter in hand (to light bonfires), tights on, ready to curl up for cannonball and standing to attention...ha ha ha...bless him...he's putty in our hands!!!

Steady Glen, we are working on other plans for you now. It may be necessary for us to remove the turnips for the new project.

Glen In Tinsel Knickers Report 20 Apr 2006 11:05

Right then, turnips acquired and fully installed,(preventing gunpowder burns, elastic marks, just a bit worried about the landing) Corporal Shortarse reporting for duty. Glen

If Glen is that small (turnips in your pants Glen? My hubby uses socks) then we have a whole different ball game (no pun intended). Ancestry now have offices in the UK, yes? How big is a filing cabinet drawer - anyone know? New volunteers required for immediate impersonation of jolly cockney office cleaning ladies carrying a rather heavy mop bucket between them please?

Sounds like too much hard work.......but if you must, go for it. don't let the Russians or Yanks beat you to it, you know how they like to poke flags in things.

Merry

Merry Report 20 Apr 2006 09:36

Bit chilly to go there....................but................I have an idea!! If I go to the North Pole, which is right at the top of the globe, I can look down at everything below me and I will be able to see all the bonfires and Greg's cannon etc in the northern hemisphere.........So, then I can tell the world (possibly northern hemisphere only, I'm afraid) that the 1841 census is up and running......... (I will put up a flag pole with a flag saying ''Census now available'' ......so get your binoculars out) Merry

Unknown Report 20 Apr 2006 09:05

Naughty Cheshire Cat. !!! lolol Merry, a standard dress making tape measure is 60 inches (5 ft) Erm.......you don't need one any bigger than that do you? *wonders if tinsel is elastised*

TinaTheCheshirePussyCat Report 20 Apr 2006 08:56

Hi Merry I have a cricket pitch tape measure (33 yards) - will that be long enough? (Runs off dodging rotten eggs) Tina (for whom the said tape measure is not sufficient!)

Merry

Merry Report 19 Apr 2006 23:05

Does anyone have a tape measure longer than 40 inches? Merry (for my G string alterations)
