Hi Mike, Do you know anything about the Leicester Workhouse records? I have a couple of rellies who ended up there, and I e-mailed the Records Office to see if they could scan the records and send them, but they just sent me a form offering to do research at so much an hour. I think it might be more interesting to do the research myself in that case, next time I'm in the UK, probably this summer. Is it difficult to find your way around those kinds of records?

Hi all Hope everyone is ok...i think i asked a while back for a marriage check on a Thomas Hall and Elizabeth Ann/Annie Grice and you couldnt find one i have received the birth cert for their son Thomas Richard Hall..and the mothers name is Annie Hall formely Brown so could someone please look for a marriage between Thomas Hall and either Elizabeth Ann/Annie Brown or a Annie Elizabeth Brown for me will be greatly appreciated, I came to the Grice name from a census which has them living with a Richard Grice and under Thomas Hall it said son in law...think it was 1891 census but going back you see Richard Grice with Wife and his neighbours are the Browns. Oops Thomas Richard Hall was born 18th march 1888 so marriage should be slightly earlier. Also has anyone heard of Farmland Street (looks like this spelling ) as that is where Thomas Richard was born thanks once again Donna

Greeting's again Loz.... I had a quick whiz around All saints Parish including Perry's Yard But No sign of them But as you said due to the other places of birth it's not likely they were in Leicester Seeing the birth dates are 1828. then there Will not be a record of birth but there will be ONLY a Christening within the Parish registers which again it's trawl through records at the Records Office Wigston.... But I'll have a look at what I can come up with in the meantime ..... MIKE.

Thank you Mike thats brilliant :) but if you think the 1841 would take too long don't worry about it too much..It's possible that they might not have been Leicester given the varying places of Birth..The research I'm doing is trying to come forward rather than go back to hopefully clear up a family mystery. I am looking for a William Peacock born 1828 in Leicester his father Is a Christopher so I'm hoping this is the one. Thanks again Loz :)
